The departments of English Language and Literature (ELL), English Language Teaching (ELT) and Translation and Interpretation (TRN) of Near East University are unique in terms of offering high quality teaching and research in a remarkably vibrant surrounding. ELL and ELT were among the first departments to be established when the University was opened in 1988; and recently, the department of TRN has been founded. Our aim is to reengineer rapacious minds in a supportive environment. We have a range of undergraduate, masters and PhD courses. With its diverse community of students, the learning has always been rich and innovative at NEU. The academic staff are research-active and engaged in superior teaching.
